Resident-driven Activities

Staying active and involved at Fairview Commons Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is an important part of resident health and well-being. Our activities programming is as unique as our residents, reflecting their interests and abilities, and promoting mental, physical and spiritual wellness.

Activities staff visit with residents to learn their preferences and provide leisure supplies for those preferring to spend time independently. Our resident council represents resident interests and makes recommendations regarding activities and other community events.

Our schedule of activities includes:

  • Creative, gentle exercise classes
  • Trivia and brain games
  • Card games and Bingo
  • Discussion groups
  • Monthly Paint & Sip
  • Crafts
  • Music and sing-alongs
  • Sensory stations
  • Movies
  • Religious services
  • Live entertainment
  • Pet therapy
  • Intergenerational programming

We enjoy outings for shopping or lunch, as well as to Mass MOCA and Lake Mansfield.

In addition to organized activities programming, a variety of leisure activities supplies, such as puzzles, games, books, and art materials, are available for independent use. Outdoor spaces and walking trails provide opportunities for peaceful time enjoying nature with friends and family.
