The Berkshire Healthcare Harvest Run raised more than $15,000 for the Berkshire Community College nursing program scholarship on Saturday, October 21, during the annual trail run and cook-off. More than 170 runners, including adults, students and children, participated in the trail run, relay and kids race.

Fairview Commons Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, in collaboration with the Alzheimer’s Association Massachusetts/New Hampshire Chapter, will offer a dementia education series for caregivers in May and June. The three-part program is free of charge and includes light lunches. Pre-registration is requested by calling 413-528-7120.

The American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL) recently announced the selection of Fairview Commons Nursing & Rehabilitation Center as a recipient of the Silver Achievement in Quality award for its outstanding performance in the health care profession.
